Course Storyboard (Articulate Rise 360)
Project: Strategies for Effective Intercultural Communication.
Context: Designed for a multicultural Japanese university to improve collaboration by addressing unspoken cultural norms and contrasting communication styles that often lead to misunderstandings between international faculty and Japanese administrative staff.
Role: Instructional Designer (overall course design).
Instructional Approach: Developed using the ADDIE model, with content aligned to Merrill’s First Principles (activation, demonstration, application, integration).
Key Design Features:

Description: This analysis identified specific performance gaps, learner motivations, and skill requirements of advanced C1 learners. The findings directly informed the scope and structure of the first dedicated C2 Spanish curriculum and served as the foundation for the subsequent textbook and course design.
